FREE Meal for Veterans and Active Military on July 4th at TravelCenters of America
WESTLAKE, OH – On July 4th, TravelCenters of America extends a warm invitation to all active-duty military, veterans, and reservists to enjoy a complimentary meal at participating TA, Petro, and TA Express restaurants nationwide.
Anyone who has served in the armed forces can enjoy a complimentary meal of their choice by presenting proof of service to their server before ordering. Acceptable proofs of service include a U.S. Uniformed Services ID card, current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), veterans’ organization membership card, photograph in uniform, DD214 form, or a citation or commendation.
Some restaurants will also feature Fallen Soldier Tables on July 4th, honoring the sacrifices of those who died protecting our freedom. This single place setting at an empty table serves as a poignant reminder of their service.
TravelCenters of America not only honors military members and veterans on July 4th but also engages in ongoing efforts to support veterans throughout the year. TA hosts job promotion events at military bases and collaborates with the Special Operators Transition Foundation (SOTF) and the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) to assist veterans transitioning to corporate careers. Additionally, TA supports Wreaths Across America, which places wreaths on veterans’ graves, and Folds of Honor, providing educational scholarships for the families of fallen or disabled military service members and first responders.
