Movie Night in the Park Featuring Spy Kids

Van Ness Main Street and UDC are collaborating this summer to present Movie Night in the Park at the UDC Amphitheater. This year’s film lineup is sponsored by Wegman’s at City Ridge, Edmund Burke School, Calvert Woodley, Erich Cabe Real Estate Team, and Superlative Events.

The park opens before the film, providing an opportunity for a picnic. Outside food and drink, including alcoholic beverages, are permitted. Guests are welcome to bring seat cushions or picnic blankets for comfort. All films will have closed captioning/subtitles for accessibility.

The UDC Amphitheater is nestled in a hillside off Yuma Street behind the UDC tennis courts. It features rows of wooden seating and grassy areas, with the front row/area reserved on a first-come, first-served basis for wheelchair users and those unable to access the upper rows. Accessible via walking paths from Yuma Street or Windom Place, the venue offers a scenic and accommodating setting.

In case of inclement weather, the film will be canceled. Attendees who sign up via Eventbrite will receive email notifications, and updates will be posted on the Van Ness Main Street Facebook page and Twitter handle @VanNessMainSt.

The Spy Kids screening will take place on Saturday, September 14, from 7:30 to 10:30 PM EDT at the UDC Amphitheater in the Woods, located off Yuma Street behind the UDC tennis courts in Washington, DC.
